Identify your V-belt
Read the code, or measure the belt when the code has worn off. Then send us what you found.
Size codeHow to identify a V-belt.
Start with the code printed on the back of the belt.
Read the code.
It's printed on the back of the belt. Send it exactly as it's written, letters and numbers together.

Measure the section.
Measure the top width (W) and the height (H) with a caliper, on a part of the belt that isn't worn. Send us both numbers.
Measure the length.
Run a tape around the outside of the belt and tell us it's the outside length. We convert it to the belt length.
Found the code?
The V-belts page lists each section and the lengths we supply.
Questions we're asked often.
Should I replace all the belts on a drive at once?
Yes. A new belt next to worn ones carries more of the load and wears quickly. Movendis belts are made to constant length (M=S), so belts from different boxes run together as a set.
How tight should a belt be?
Check the tension after the first day of running, then at routine maintenance. A belt that squeals on start-up is usually loose.
How should belts be stored?
Somewhere dry, away from sunlight and heat, and not hung on a nail or folded.
Do couplings come bored?
It depends on the type. Some are made for taper-bush mounting. Jaw couplings come with a pilot bore, ready to be machined to your shaft.
How fast do I get a quotation?
The same working day. Send the code, a photo or the worn part on WhatsApp.
